The Salama Coloured Canyon Jeep Safari with snorkelling at the legendary Blue Hole is one of the most exciting desert and sea experiences from Sharm El Sheikh. This unique excursion allows you to explore the breathtaking landscapes of the Sinai Desert, discover colourful rock formations, and experience the incredible underwater world of the Red Sea.
During this adventure, you will visit two of Sinai’s most spectacular natural attractions: the magnificent Salama Coloured Canyon and the world-famous Blue Hole National Park. You will also enjoy a relaxing camel ride by the sea and free time to explore Dahab’s Oriental Bazaar, known as the “Golden City.”
Along the way, we will make a scenic stop in the Sinai Desert, giving you the perfect opportunity to capture stunning photos of the dramatic mountains and landscapes.
Millions of years ago, the Sinai Peninsula was covered by the sea. Over time, geological movements, earthquakes, and erosion shaped the mountains, valleys, and canyons that make this region so unique today. The Salama Coloured Canyon is one of Sinai’s most impressive natural formations, with towering sandstone walls displaying beautiful shades of red, orange, yellow, purple, and gold that change depending on the sunlight.
Enjoy an unforgettable walk through this incredible natural wonder, surrounded by spectacular rock formations and peaceful desert scenery.
Excursion Itinerary
Hotel Pick-Up
Around 7:00 AM, a comfortable air-conditioned minibus will collect you directly from your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh.
Visit Dahab
After a scenic drive of just over one hour, we will arrive in the charming coastal town of Dahab, where your adventure begins.
Blue Hole National Park Snorkelling
Our first stop will be the beautiful protected marine area near the famous Blue Hole, located on the shores of the Gulf of Aqaba, north of Dahab.
Enjoy snorkelling along approximately 200 metres of coral reef, discovering the colourful underwater world of the Red Sea, home to vibrant corals and a variety of tropical fish.
A life jacket is mandatory during snorkelling. Masks, snorkels, and fins are available for rent if required.
If you prefer not to swim, you can relax on the beach, stroll along the coastline, enjoy the sea breeze, take photos, or relax on traditional Bedouin cushions while watching divers explore the famous underwater canyon.
This protected marine area is one of Sinai’s hidden gems, where the coral reef remains in excellent condition thanks to controlled visitor numbers.
Camel Ride Along the Red Sea Coast
Experience a traditional camel ride along the beautiful Red Sea shoreline, enjoying the unforgettable scenery where the desert meets the sea.
Lunch by the Sea
Enjoy a delicious hot lunch at a seaside restaurant overlooking the stunning Gulf of Aqaba.
Drinks are available at an additional cost.
Shopping in Dahab Oriental Bazaar
Before leaving Dahab, you will have free time to explore its famous Oriental Bazaar.
Known as the “Golden City,” Dahab is famous for its relaxed atmosphere and unique bohemian charm. You can browse local shops offering:

- Egyptian souvenirs
- Traditional Bedouin clothing

Jeep Safari to Salama Coloured Canyon
After exploring Dahab, continue your adventure aboard a 4×4 Jeep through the Sinai Desert towards the spectacular Salama Coloured Canyon, located between Dahab and Nuweiba.
Upon arrival, your guide will lead you on a 40–60 minute walk through the narrow canyon passages and incredible multi-coloured rock formations.
During the walk, you will have plenty of opportunities to explore hidden corners, climb over natural rock formations, and take unforgettable photographs of this unique desert landscape.
Return to Sharm El Sheikh
After a full day of adventure and discovery, we will return to Sharm El Sheikh, arriving at approximately 6:30 PM.
