The Coloured Salama Canyon Jeep Safari with snorkelling in Dahab is one of the best desert adventures in the Sinai Peninsula!

In a single day, you'll discover two of Sinai's most spectacular natural wonders: the breathtaking Coloured Salama Canyon and fantastic snorkelling at the Nature Reserve near the Canyon Dive Area, just north of the beautiful town of Dahab.

You'll also enjoy a relaxing camel ride along the shores of the Red Sea and visit Dahab's famous Oriental Bazaar, known as the "Golden City."

On the way to the canyon, we'll stop for photos so you can capture the mesmerising beauty of the Sinai Desert.

Millions of years ago, the Sinai Peninsula lay beneath the sea. Over time, earthquakes and tectonic plate movements created the dramatic mountains, valleys and canyons that define the region today. The Coloured Salama Canyon is the largest and most spectacular coloured canyon open to visitors in Sinai. Its towering sandstone walls resemble layers of a colourful cake, displaying stunning shades of red, orange, yellow, purple and gold that change beautifully as the sunlight moves across the rocks.

Hotel Pickup

At approximately 7:00 AM, our comfortable air-conditioned minibus will collect you directly from your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh.

Dahab

After a scenic drive of just over an hour, we'll arrive in the charming coastal town of Dahab, where the day's adventure begins.

Nature Reserve (Canyon Dive Area)

Our first stop is a beautiful protected nature reserve near the famous Canyon Dive Area, located on the shores of the Gulf of Aqaba, just north of Dahab.

Here you'll enjoy snorkelling along approximately 200 metres of vibrant coral reef, discovering the incredible underwater world of the Red Sea, home to colourful corals and an amazing variety of tropical fish.

Life jackets are mandatory for snorkelling. Masks, snorkels and fins are available to rent if required.

If you prefer not to swim, you can simply relax by the sea, stroll along the coastline, enjoy the refreshing sea breeze, or take spectacular photographs. You can also unwind on traditional Bedouin cushions by the water while watching divers explore the famous underwater canyon.

This protected marine reserve is one of Sinai's hidden gems, where the coral reefs have remained remarkably well preserved thanks to the limited number of visitors.

Camel Ride

Enjoy a memorable camel ride along the beautiful Red Sea coastline while taking in the breathtaking scenery where the desert meets the sea.

Lunch

A freshly prepared hot lunch will be served at a beachfront restaurant overlooking the Gulf of Aqaba.

Shopping in Dahab

Before leaving Dahab, you'll have free time to explore its famous Oriental Bazaar.

Known as the "Golden City", Dahab has a unique bohemian atmosphere unlike anywhere else in Egypt. Browse its colourful streets and shop for:

Jeep Safari to the Coloured Salama Canyon

After shopping, we'll continue our adventure by 4×4 Jeep across the Sinai Desert towards the spectacular Coloured Salama Canyon, located between Dahab and Nuweiba.

Upon arrival, your guide will lead you on a walk of approximately 40–60 minutes through the canyon's narrow passages and magnificent multi-coloured rock formations. Along the way, you'll have plenty of opportunities to climb over the rocks, explore hidden corners of the canyon and capture unforgettable photographs of this extraordinary landscape.

Return to Sharm El Sheikh

After an incredible day exploring the natural wonders of the Sinai Peninsula, we'll return to Sharm El Sheikh at approximately 6:30 PM.
